BUB Seven’s record setting 367.382mph run on video

The BUB Seven recently got the record for the fastest motorcycle in the world, when the motorcycle driven by Chris Carr ran into the record books at Bonneville Salt Flats. Powered by a 3.0-l, turbocharged 500bhp V4, the BUB Seven averaged 367.382mph over two passes, beating the previous record of 360.913mph set last year. Here’s a video showing the BUB Seven Streamliner on its record breaking run on the salt flats.

DIY Panorama rig gets your car the Google Street View vehicle arsenal

Google Street View vehicles with their high-tech cameras have been quite the speak of town, but this panorama rig, the Photo Trail created by Roy D. Ragsdale is an impressive one, and works much like Google’s system. Created as part of the “disruptive technologies” course at the United States Military Academy, the system can capture georeferenced 360 degree panorama images.

Jet powered carousel is the ultimate test of manliness

Real men don’t ride on carousels, but if the carousel has something written on the lines of “CAUTION: This might kill you” and is powered by a pulse-jet engine, a real man can never shy away from the challenge. This steampunkish, home-built jet powered merry-go-round was tested by The Madagascar Institute, without people on it. Seth Pogers from Popular Mechanics volunteered for a cameo on the dangerous, adrenalin pumping jet-powered ride of a lifetime and went around in jet-propelled circles. You da man, Seth.

e-Wolf e2 electric supercar to boast 536hp

German company e-Wolf has released renderings of its electric supercar, the e2. The two seat electric supercar is scheduled to reach the markets in 2011. The new supercar’s looks show its design inspiration from a number of supercars, more pronounced are the influences of the Ferrari Enzo and some styling traits that remind us of the Lamborghinis.

Infiniti gets into celebration mode with G37 Coupe Artcar

Infiniti is celebrating its 20 years in business, and the automaker unveiled an interesting automobile in the one-off Infiniti G37 coupe artcar. The vehicle is a project of Infiniti Canada and has its design and exterior hand-painted by Montreal artist Heidi Taillefer. Inspiration for the car came from the International circus group Cirque du Soleil, which incidentally, is also celebrating its 25th anniversary.
