The Jaguar XK180 Concept caught eyes of onlookers when it was displayed at the Paris Motor Show in 1998. Jaguar never brought the concept into production, but you’ll soon find it running down the streets. Kit car specialist Paul Banham worked for years to create a automobile that would look exactly like the XK180 concept, down to each single detail on the exteriors.
Jaguar’s concept was built on a shortened XKR platform and promised less than 4.5 seconds for a zero to 60mph dash, powered by a V8 that churned out 450bhp. Though the replica’s glassfiber body recreates all exteriors in detail, it is no match to the real automobile in terms of performance. The £10,000 body runs on an engine from the XJS; the XJS also supplies most of the mechanicals for the project.
