BMW has become the first automaker to begin use of Microsoft Surface. The automaker uses the Surface for product navigation, and surface actually makes the navigation a lot more cool with its touch and gesture interaction; which is quite sci-fi. So, basically BMW gives you a shot of technology before you buy a bimmer. As BB Gadgets puts it, “We’re almost in the future!”

Words from the mouth of a BMW Insider say that the company is working on a new eco-friendly supercar. Prone to be based on the M1 Homage Concept, the new supercar will be a showcase of the slicing edge technology developed by the company. BMW’s Efficient Dynamics program will be involved in a huge way to lower environmental impact. Falling sales and decreasing profit margins have forced BMW to look away from making a production version of the Concept CS. Close on the heels of the news that BMW had seen a 63 percent drop in profits for the third quarter, came the announcement that the automaker wouldn’t follow plans for a production version on the CS.
