If only men could ever love their women as truly, madly, deeply as they loved their cars! I don’t know where Neil Stringer’s lady love stands on his obsession with his latest creation, but we can certainly tell that this Buick-powered Chevrolet El Camino means more to him than any flesh-and-blood thing he could have ever fathered. Neil got this 1984 model off eBay in January 2007 and decided to replace the 175,000-miles old 229 V6 engine with a 0.030 over 455 Buick(464CI) with a Tremac TKO600 5 speed with a 10 bolt 8.5- 3.42 posi and 87 Gran National Moser Axels. Neil also revamped the 455 with Jahns pistons, Isky cam, Edelbrock B4B intake, MSD Ignition, and basically… the works! The maroon bench seat interiors were also done away with in favor of sleeker, bucket-type front seats in glossy white, which thankfully provided some relief from the red-overkill highlighted by the color of the dashboard. The beauty was finished off in what I have the ability to only describe as the ideal cream-based lip-color in a deep cherry shade!
